Forum: etree Subject: Collection selection page incomplete?

I'm in the process of uploading a Drive-By Truckers recording, and the transfer worked fine, giving me

http://www.archive.org/details/dbt2010-04-06.oktava.flac16

But when I get to the pick-a-collection page, the "Pick a Live Music Archive" pull-down list/menu of bands is incomplete, ending at BoomBox; even if it was complete, there's no "Submit" button for the etree colletion. I've refreshed the page a bunch of times, and sometimes the list/menu goes down to Japanther, but there's still no "Submit" button. I've looked at the source for the paqe, and the last two lines of the source are:

-----being source-----
Janine Stoll [Trio]Japanther-----end source-----

so it looks like there's a bunch of HTML (like the closing ">" for the Japanther option/item and everything after it) which isn't getting transferred to me. Is this happening to just me, and if so, how do I fix it?

Thanks,
Brad

Tom, you can continue from here:

http://www.archive.org/editxml.php?field_default_mediatype=etree&;field_default_collection=thehickoryproject&edit_item=HickoryProject2005-07-29.mxl2003.flac16&type=etree

Likely explanation is that the server that's serving up that list to you is bogged down and isn't able to serve it in its entirety, so it's barfing and not completing the page. The links I've given you and Brad bypass that page and pass the correct arguments to the metadata editor so you can proceed as usual.

EDIT: There's an embedded semi-colon there that I can't get rid of in that link, so copy/paste and remove the semi-colon.

Awesome thanks for the workaround...worked perfectly for me for last night's PGroove show. Now if I could just get it to work for me at my job tonight so I can get some more sleep lol ;)

Brad - try continuing with this link (copy/paste if it's not entirely clickable):

http://www.archive.org/editxml.php?field_default_mediatype=etree&;field_default_collection=Drive-ByTruckers&edit_item=dbt2010-04-06.oktava.flac16&type=etree

minus the semi-colon.

It worked, but the page I got in response, with the fields for the set list, venue, city, etc., was also incomplete, having only about the first 6 or 7 tracks at the bottom. I book-marked the page (pages, actually, as I had another recording whose transfer had finished and which was also waiting to be submitted) and went to bed. This morning, starting off at the collection-selection page (for both recordings) and the follow-on page worked fine, and were complete.

Again, thanks for the help.

Aloha,
Brad
